Bài hát này nếu hiểu theo đúng nghĩa đen thì nó là
một câu chuyện về động vật. Nhưng nếu hiểu theo nghĩa
bóng thì bài hát này nói về chiến tranh thế giới thứ
hai. Tất nhiên không có một phát biểu chính thức nào
của nhóm về ý nghĩa bài hát cả nên đây chỉ là suy đoán.

rất trùng khớp với diễn biến cuộc chiến này. Hãy hiểu

"birds": nước Anh và Pháp
"dirty paws": nước Mỹ (sở dĩ được ví như vậy vì Mỹ
tham gia hầu hết các cuộc chiến quốc tế, như là bàn
chân đã vấy bẩn nhiều lần)
"creatures of snow": nước Nga
"the forest": châu Âu
"the four dirty paws" (xuất hiện ở cuối bài) ám chỉ
4 cuộc chiến của Mỹ, hoặc có Mỹ trực tiếp tham gia: Cách
mạng Mỹ, Nội chiến Mỹ, Chiến tranh thế giới thứ nhất
và chiến tranh thế giới thứ hai.
