The Old Me

every [G]headline every deadline feels so [Bm]serious these days

every [Em]expectation seems too hard to [C]face

all the [G]pressure use to never take [Bm]hold of me this way

oh i [Em]miss my innocence it felt so [C]safe

cause [Am]those monsters under my [D]bed

became the ones in my [G]head now the grass ain't so [Em]green

and i'm not as [C]naive as the [Cm]old me

i used to [G]dream of getting older now i [Bm]wish i could go back

cause all this [Em]weight is on my shoulders never [C]used to feel like that

tell me [G]have you seen the old me the guy who’s [Bm]always drunk on life

cause i’ve been [Em]trying to find him lately to [C]see a better future through his [G]eyes

where’s the [G]wide eyed confident guy with a [Bm]grin upon his face

where’s the [Em]optimist i was at half this [C]age

i miss my [G]daydreams miss my pre-teens miss my [Bm]stupid young mistakes

though i [Em]know that i’m still in the good old [C]days

i used to [G]dream of getting older now i [Bm]wish i could go back

cause all this [Em]weight is on my shoulders never [C]used to feel like that

tell me [G]have you seen the old me the guy who’s [Bm]always drunk on life

cause i’ve been [Em]trying to find him lately to [C]see a better future through his [G]eyes

cause [Am]those monsters under my [D]bed became the ones in my [G]head
