Cinderella

When [Am]I was just a little girl

My [F]mama used to tuck me into [Dm]bed She [E7]read me a [Am]story

It [Am]always was about a princess [F]in distress

And how a guy would [Dm]save her And end [E7]up with the [Am]glory

I'd [Dm]lie in bed and think about The [Em]person that I want to be

[F]Then one day I realized [E7]Fairy tale life wasn't for me

[Am]I don't wanna be like [G]Cinderella [F]Sitting in a dark cold [Em]dusty cellar

[Dm]Waiting for somebody To [G]come and set me [E7]free

[Am]I don't wanna be like [G]Snow White waiting [F]For a handsome prince to [Em]come and save me

[Dm]On a horse of white Unless we're [G]riding side by side

Don't wanna [F]depend on no one else [E7]I'd rather rescue myself

Some[Am]day I'm gonna find someone Who [F]wants my soul, heart, and mind

Who's [Dm]not afraid to [E7]show that he [Am]loves me

Some[Am]body who will understand I'm [F]happy just the way I am

Don't [Dm]need nobody [E7]taking care [Am]of me

[Dm]I will be there for him Just as [Em]strong as he Will be there for me

[F]When I give myself then it has [E7]got to be An equal thing

[Am]I don't wanna be like [G]Cinderella [F]Sitting in a dark cold [Em]dusty cellar

[Dm]Waiting for somebody To [G]come and set me [E7]free

[Am]I don't wanna be like [G]Snow White waiting [F]For a handsome prince to [Em]come and save me

[Dm]On a horse of white Unless we're [G]riding side by side

Don't wanna [F]depend on no one else [E7]I'd rather rescue myself (Rescue myself, rescue myself)

I can [F]slay my own [G]dragons I can [C]dream my own [G]dreams (my own dreams)

My [F]knight in shining [G]armor Is [Dm]me So I'm [E7]gonna set me free

[Am]I don't wanna be like [G]Cinderella [F]Sitting in a dark cold [Em]dusty cellar

[Dm]Waiting for somebody To [G]come and set me [E7]free

[Am]I don't wanna be like [G]Snow White waiting [F]For a handsome prince to [Em]come and save me

[Dm]On a horse of white Unless we're [G]riding side by side

[Am]I don't wanna be like [G]Cinderella [F]Sitting in a dark cold [Em]dusty cellar

[Dm]Waiting for somebody To [G]come and set me [E7]free

[Am]I don't wanna be like [G]Snow White waiting [F]For a handsome prince to [Em]come and save me

[Dm]On a horse of white Unless we're [G]riding side by side

Don't wanna [F]depend on no one else [E7]I'd rather rescue myself
